Alexander trained at the Anne Fraser School of Dance on the Sunshine Coast Queensland for nine years, before being accepted into the Queensland University of Technology (QUT). Studying classical ballet from a young age, Alexander has completed the RAD Advanced 2 syllabus.  He graduated (Dux) with a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Dance), where in 2009 he was awarded a scholarship to attend the Taipei International Dance Elite Academy in Taiwan. Alexander has worked with many internationally renowned choreographers such as Simon Hoy, Harold Collins MBE, Natalie Weir, Paul White, Lisa Griffiths, Daniel Jaber, Lucas Jervis, Rani Luther, Csaba Buday, Tim Podesta and Paul Zivkovich.

Having been a company member of the Melbourne Ballet Company (MBC) since 2009; under the direction of Alisa Finney with choreography by Simon Hoy, Alexander has performed in Project Six ‘A Moment of Inertia’, Melbourne’s Art Centre series, the ‘On Air’ touring program, ‘Le Sacre Du Printemps’ and all of companys touring repertoire. Alexander features heavily in the company’s signature pieces ‘In One Day’ choreographed by Simon Hoy and Robert Kelly to Vivaldi’s Four Seasons along with ‘Infinite Space’ music by Mozart. With a large body of new creations, Alexander has featured in MBC’s repertoire of ‘Motion Transcend’, ‘Focused on Aspects of Light’, ‘Phrased Without Word’, and ‘From a Dream’ by Tim Podesta.

In 2016 Alexander had the unique opportunity to choreograph on the ensemble of Melbourne Ballet Company and premiered his work ‘Artifice’ which received critical acclaim. “Beautifully danced.. showing compositional assurance… inscribing angles, an accomplished work” Dance Australia. “Bryce skilfully created a piece full of elegant lines, sultry port de bras and lively classical allegro” Dancelife. Alexander also appeared in MBC’s 2016 world premiere works, “Four Ballet’ by Lucas Jervis, ‘Variations of Ease’ Tim Podesta, Rani Luther’s ‘Illuminate’ and Simon Hoy’s ‘Guernica’ and ‘Lucidity’. Whilst also nationally touring the company’s signature work ‘Arche’ and the ‘Divenire’ program.

Alex is a Director of the Melbourne Youth Contemporary Company.
